The Full Groom at Bloomingtails is a service offered to dogs with long or continuously growing hair. We use only the best dog friendly products for you pet and select the most appropriate shampoo and conditioner for your dogs coat. Our Full Groom service includes:

Mini Groom
For some breeds, with a 'woolly' or 'doodle' coat, we suggest a Mini Groom between full grooms in order to maintain their coats. A Mini Groom will help to maintain their coats by removing tangles and matts which helps to keep their coat in premium condition. This service consists of:

De-Shed
The De-Shedding service can be offered to dogs with both short hair or long double coats. This treatment aids a dogs natural de-shedding process. Specialised De-Shedding shampoo is used during the bathing process to loosen the hair follicles making the treatment more effective. Our De-Shed consists of:

Hand Strip
Hand Stripping is a traditional method of maintaining particular coats of wire haired and some 'sporting' breeds. Instead of cutting the hair, the dogs coat which is ready to be replaced is removed by hand or using specialist equipment. Hair which is in the 'active' growing stages is left which provides a rich coloured jacket. Not all dogs have the correct coat for hand stripping. There are many factors which contribute to making a coat unstrippable; genetics, age, clipping history and neutering are a few examples.
Puppy Plan
Grooming is essential to the welfare of all dogs. At Bloomingtails we recommend an introduction to the grooming parlour at a young age. This will allow the puppy to become more accustomed to the grooming process, reducing their level of anxiety and will allow them to enjoy the pampering in their future visits.
At Bloomingtails we offer tailored plans to your pup as an individual. These consist of several socialisation visits which introducing new grooming elements to your dog each time. The final stage of the plan will have them completing their first full groom at the age of 6 months.
These plans are designed for puppies under the age of 16 weeks and have completed their course of Puppy Vaccinations. However, if your puppy is over 16 weeks, we can still set up a plan but it will need to be tailored slightly differently.
Pawdicure
At Bloomingtails our Pawdicure consists of nail clipping, removal of overgrown hair between pads and a tidy up around the feet.
Pawdicures are included in all grooming treatments but can also be booked as a stand alone appointment.
